Position Summary

We are seeking motivated Shipping Technicians to join our high-performance teams in a 24/7 manufacturing facility. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate, safe, and efficient movement of product, directly supporting CSC’s goals for Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and On-Time Delivery.

Entry-level Shipping Technicians begin by supporting daily shipping and logistics tasks and are expected to grow their operational skills over time, with the goal of advancing to “Tech A” status—qualified to operate and manage highly technical processes and equipment.

 

Compensation & Benefits

As an employee of CSC, you are eligible for:

  • Competitive Pay: Starting at $27.96/hour, with the opportunity to earn $31.09/hour at Tech A level

Shift & Schedule Highlights

  • 12-hour shifts (day or night)
  • Predictable rotating schedule
  • Multiple consecutive days off
  • Full-time hours with fewer workdays per month

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely at all times, following PPE requirements and safety policies
  • Inspect trailers prior to loading/unloading to ensure they are clean and clear of debris
  • Load and unload product according to shipping instructions
  • Scan product into inventory to maintain accuracy and traceability
  • Verify counts while unloading (as allowed by customers) and confirm loads are correct before release
  • Perform daily truck inspections and report maintenance needs immediately
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas through housekeeping duties (sweeping, hosing down, removing trash, etc.)
  • Ensure product Quality, Cost, and Production goals are met
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to Safety, Quality, and Efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and plant leadership
  • Build strong working relationships with teammates through courtesy, respect, and cooperation
  • Respond to emergency issues, including troubleshooting and clean-up, to minimize downtime or safety risks
  • Share knowledge and learn from the team to strengthen skills across operations

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Forklift and clamp truck experience (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics (preferred)
  • Basic computer operations (scanning, inventory management systems)
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations
  • Prior experience in corrugated packaging or a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Related military training/experience (a plus)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, punctual, and organized

 

Education & Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Continued education certifications or post-secondary coursework (preferred)

  • Comfortable using hand tools, performing rigging, and handling materials.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods and maintain balance on narrow walkways.
  • Capable of operating powered industrial trucks (training provided if needed).
  • Able to reach, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as the job requires.
  • Able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Have good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception) and hearing consistent with OSHA safety standards.
