At Contour, we’re reshaping education, one student at a time.
Born from the frustration of students who knew the system could be better, we set out to build what we once wished existed: tutoring that actually works. Not generic classes. Not recycled notes. Not overpriced, overcrowded rooms with an out-of-touch teacher who couldn’t relate. But a complete ecosystem of tutoring, resources, and support, meticulously designed to help every student reach their full potential.
Since 2020, over 10,000+ students have trusted Contour to guide their academic journey, and we’ve grown to over 300+ team members. We’ve produced hundreds of 99+ ATARs, tutored the World-Record UCAT scorer, and placed more students into medical school than any school in Australia.
Our growth is a testament to the simple philosophy: Put the student first, always. Everything we design, from our world-class tutor-training programs to our purpose-built campuses, exists to help students master content faster, perform with confidence, and even rekindle the joy of learning.

- Contour Education: Reshaping how students master their high school subjects with small-group tutoring, structured resources, and 1-on-1 support across Maths, Science, and English.
- Contour Medprep: Reshaping medical preparation with a proven, step-by-step pathway through the UCAT, interviews, and admissions, led by a team of 100+ medical students.
- Contour TestPrep: Reshaping test preparation, starting with the selective entry exam, through rigorous tutoring, mock exams, and data-driven feedback to give students a decisive advantage.

What You'll Do
As the Head of Marketing, you will be the architect of our growth and the voice of our brand.
- Lead & Develop the Team: Inherit and mentor a talented team of five marketers. Coach, recruit, and scale a top talent team while fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and data-driven excellence.
- Architect the Growth Strategy: Own the national marketing strategy, roadmap, and budget. Build and scale our student acquisition and retention engine across digital & performance marketing, SEO, content, email, and social.
- Elevate Product Marketing: Shape go-to-market positioning and messaging across our programs and brands - from Contour Education to Contour MedPrep and Contour TestPrep - ensuring each has a clear, differentiated story that connects with parents and students.
- Amplify the Brand Narrative: Define, champion and codify Contour’s story. Craft a consistent, compelling voice across every channel and campaign, guiding creative direction and visual identity to make our brand not just recognised - but loved.
- Drive National Expansion & Annual Program Launches: Lead go-to-market strategies for new campus launches and products. Create a world-class marketing launch for our annual program intake. Turn local successes into a national playbook for growth in close collaboration with Sales and Operations.
- Own the Lifecycle: Design and optimise the full funnel - from awareness to enrolment, retention, and referral. Build CRM and automation strategies that turn leads into loyal families and advocates.
- Own the Data: Establish KPIs, analytics, and reporting frameworks to measure ROI and drive continuous improvement. Translate insights into action that accelerates growth.
- Experiment Relentlessly: Build a culture of testing and iteration. Experiment across creative, channels, and offers - scaling what works to maximise ROI.
- Collaborate & Influence: Partner with the co-founders and leadership team to create a seamless, high-performing student journey from first impression to alumni.
What You'll Bring
- A Proven Growth Leader: You have 8+ years of experience in senior marketing roles with a clear track record of scaling a B2C brand in a high-growth environment.
- A Player-Coach: You have proven experience recruiting, managing, and developing high-performing marketing teams. You lead by example and are passionate about mentoring others.
- A Full-Funnel Expert: You possess deep, hands-on expertise in digital & performance marketing (Google Ads, Meta Ads), SEO, content strategy, and marketing automation.
- A Strategic Brand Builder: You know how to craft compelling narratives that connect with consumers. You think strategically about brand positioning while ensuring tactical execution is flawless.
- Data-Driven & Analytical: You have a talent for turning complex data into actionable strategies and are obsessed with measuring what matters.
- An Owner: You have a full-ownership mentality. You're just as comfortable setting a high-level strategy as you are rolling up your sleeves to get it done.
- Ambitious & Creative: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a significant impact and bring bold, innovative ideas to the table.
