About the Role:

As a Repair Technician within the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in maintaining and restoring the functionality of complex electronic and power equipment. Your expertise will ensure that circuit boards, power supplies, and fiber optic components operate reliably, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous production. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, performing precise repairs using advanced soldering techniques, and installing hardware components with accuracy. This role demands a meticulous approach to handling surface mount devices and power equipment to uphold quality and safety standards. Ultimately, your work will directly contribute to the efficiency and success of manufacturing operations by ensuring all equipment meets operational specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in electronics or related field.
  • Proven experience in soldering, including hand soldering and surface mount technology.
  • Strong understanding of power supplies, circuit boards, and power equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and repair manuals.
  • Experience working with fiber optic components and hardware installation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in electronics technology or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to quality assurance processes.
  • Familiarity with advanced diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and compliance related to electronic repair work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electronic circuit boards, power supplies, and fiber optic systems.
  • Perform hand soldering and surface mount soldering repairs to restore equipment functionality.
  • Install, test, and calibrate hardware components and power equipment according to technical specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and equipment status to support quality control.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
