Anticipated Position: Social Studies Teacher na Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District

Description:
The district is seeking a Social Studies teacher for an anticipated position at Ramapo High School. 

Reports to: 
District Supervisor of Social Studies and/or Building Principal

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Social Studies, covering topics such as U.S. History, World History, Civics, and/or Economics.

• Create a classroom environment that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and achievement.

• Adhere to all district policies, procedures, and ethical standards of the teaching profession.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate with a Social Studies endorsement (or eligibility for certification).

• Strong knowledge of social studies content, including U.S. History, World History, Civics, and/or Economics.

• Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction, including Google Classroom and other educational platforms.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:
Salary is aligned with the current RIHEA agreement, with a range of: $59,091.00 to $108,905.00. Salary will be based on the applicant's completed level of education and related experience.
