Maintenance Planner – Max Term Contract (2 Years)

Location: Tronox Kwinana Pigment Plant
Employment Type: Full Time - Max Term (2 Years)
Hours: 38-hour week with the option of a compressed 9-day fortnight

 

About the Role

Tronox Kwinana is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team at our Kwinana pigment plant, a Major Hazard Facility operating under strict safety and reliability standards. This is a 2-year max term opportunity where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities across the site.

Reporting to the Lead, Planning and Reliability Excellence You’ll be responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules, managing work orders, and optimizing resource allocation to support plant reliability and production continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.

  • Collaborate with the production and maintenance teams to prioritise work orders based on urgency and operational impact.

  • Utilise SAP to manage work orders, track equipment history, and generate reports.

  • Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment, coordinating procurement as needed.

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align maintenance activities with production schedules and minimise disruptions.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, site procedures, and company policies.

  • Assist in developing and implementing maintenance schedules, procedures, and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Provide administrative support including record keeping, reporting, and documentation updates.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent (essential).

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar planning, scheduling, or coordinating role. (essential)

  • Experience working within chemical processing, major hazard facilities, or similar high-risk industrial environments (highly desirable)

  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Project. (highly desirable)

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
