The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Electromechanical Engineer to join our team. The Lead Electromechanical Engineer will be responsible for performing design and analysis duties requiring experience in the selection and application of standard engineering principles and techniques. Works in a process team or production cell with a specialty of electromechanical devices, valves, actuators, with production development and test engineering. Acting as an electromechanical engineering lead, to support projects across the company.

The Lead Electromechanical Engineer will also be responsible for:

  • Conducts design and analysis assignments of electromechanical products to support WI growth goals.
  • Integrate new designs with existing production capabilities and support the development of new manufacturing and assembly processes as required.
  • Prepares layouts and makes calculations related to product design and analysis. May assist in preparation of engineering computer programs and evaluation of program output applicable to project requirements.
  • Perform product development testing and in a laboratory setting to inform new designs and support product qualification/certification with test procedures and reporting.
  • Coordinate engineering projects on a technical level, and estimate costs and schedule. Develop product to meet specifications and project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, structural, manufacturing or aeronautical engineering required
  • Prior work experience of at least five years of product development engineering, with some experience involving electromagnetic FEA, preferably Ansys Maxwell. This is a lead engineer role
  • Should have practical laboratory equipment knowledge (e.g., power supplies, function generators, multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Should have manufacturing experience related to electromagnetic devices and materials
  • No supervisory responsibility
  • Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy
  • U. S. Citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
