Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead our retail banking branch with minimal supervision. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, foster a customer-centric environment, and drive branch growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.


Essential Functions


1. Branch Operations

  • Manages branch employees, organizes and directs activities, maximizes branch profitability, provides exceptional customer      service and has overall daily operational responsibility for the performance of the branch.
  • Organizes, directs, and monitors branch operations and procedures to maximize customer service and staff productivity. 
  • Develops a schedule that ensures adequate branch coverage and compliance with state and federal meal and rest breaks;      monitors branch adherence to FTE budget.
  • Approves customer transactions in accordance with established authority levels/limits.
  • Performs operational certifications and verifications to ensure that audit is passed with a minimum of a Satisfactory.
  • Ensures new accounts are opened accurately following  established procedures and obtaining supporting documentation as required.      
  • Oversees or completes cash counts and the monitoring of the branch daily over/short report.
  • Ensures deposits, loan payments and other transactions are processed throughout the branch accurately according to      established procedures.
  • Maintains prescribed security controls to protect the facility against criminal and fraudulent operation and unnecessary risk or      exposure.
  • Maintains a cost-effective branch in accordance with business plan and budgetary constraints.

2. Staff Development and Performance Management 

  • Recruits, selects and develops assigned staff;  completes and conducts performance appraisals; recommends salary increases      and other personnel status changes; administers corrective action when needed, including terminations; and acts as final authority for issue resolution at branch level.
  • Schedules staff to ensure adequate coverage and service delivery to customers is not compromised, while ensuring      compliance with wage and hour laws.
  • Conducts coaching sessions with staff and monitors performance as needed; conducts meetings with branch staff.
  • Provides ongoing on-the-job training to employees on various branch, bank and Branch Services Specialist functions and      procedures.
  • Reviews BSS Development Plans with employees to ensure they are on track and progressing in their training to promote to next level.
  • Motivates and coaches’ staff on all aspects of  customer service and operations.
  • Supervises branch staff and audits their activity on a regular basis. Reviews signature cards, CTRs, and other work product of      the branch sales and operational staff, makes necessary corrections, and provides feedback/coaching/training to improve performance.

3. Customer Relationship Management 

  • Resolves escalated customer complaints, problems and requests; and responds to advanced customer inquiries.
  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships with customers that allow Net Promoter Score and business      development goals to be achieved. 
  • Ensures customers are well satisfied with products and services. 

4. Product Knowledge

  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of all deposit, loan, and mortgage products. 
  • Keeps customers informed of Bank services and policies.

5. Compliance 

  • Participates actively in community activities to enhance the Bank’s image, visibility and to reinforce the Bank’s commitment to CRA. 
  • Maintains a current knowledge of bank regulations. Ensures branch compliance with all Federal, State and Bank policies, procedures and regulations. 

6. Other 

  • Attends managers’ meetings; keep up-to-date on government regulations and the Bank’s policies and procedures regarding      lending, savings, and branch operations.
  • Performs various other duties and projects as assigned.


Requirements

  1. Three to five years’ service, operations and  management experience at a financial services institution. 
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of banking services and  products as well as operations and security policies, practices and      procedures. 
  3. Understands Premier Banking Target market; proficient in providing exceptional customer service to meet the special needs of      this segment.
  4. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge Skills/Abilities: 

  1. Excellent management, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Proficient in the use of personal computers and related software. 
  2. Ability to work varied days/hours as business dictates.
