Job Description SummarySt. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is actively seeking a Lead Patient Transporter to join our team!
Schedule: Full time, day shift. Weekends and holidays required.
Performs duties of transporter and oversees transport activities when Coordinator is not working.

Full time benefit eligible position working 80 hours working weekends and holidays.
Transports patients on stretchers, beds and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported, as needed.
Promptly reports any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.
Observes and follows isolation technique during transport.
Cooperatively assists in lifting patients in and out of bed as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.
Participates in the cleaning and delivery of equipment to Central Supply.
Cleans wheelchairs and ensures each area has an adequate number, as needed.
Participates in conferences related to his/her work.
Demonstrates knowledge of fire, disaster and risk fall programs and policies.
Completes accurate daily statistics of number of transports to various testing areas within the Medical Center.
Coordinates patient transports.
Keeps and tabulates transport activity.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/Equivalent
CPR Certification - issued by AHA
Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed in onboarding if offered the position)
