Meet the team behind this journey
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Finance Director to be part of our finance function and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth. This role requires a highly strategic and commercially astute finance leader with hands-on experience scaling finance operations in fast-growing SaaS or digital technology businesses.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining a world-class finance structure, implementing robust controls and systems, ensuring compliance, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to drive commercial success. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will ensure finance is central to strategic discussions while also overseeing the day-to-day financial health of the company.
Your responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
Lead the finance function, driving strategy, execution, and alignment with company objectives.
Serve as a core member of the senior leadership team, ensuring finance underpins all strategic decisions.
Partner with sales, service delivery, and operations to align commercial strategies with financial goals.
Financial Operations & Compliance
Oversee the entire accounting lifecycle, including month-end close, P&L, balance sheet management and internal reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements; manage statutory accounts, year-end processes, audits, and support with R&D claims.
Maintain compliance with all financial regulations and industry standards.
Implement and oversee robust financial controls, processes, and systems.
Commercial & Operational Partnership
Drive efficiency, utilisation, and scalability across the business.
Support fundraising, M&A activity, and investor relations where relevant.
Identify and mitigate financial and commercial risks.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing finance team, with close collaboration across sales and operations.
Drive continuous improvement, automation and adoption of best practices in finance operations.
Your Background & Experience
ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification (essential).
MBA or advanced finance/business degree is a plus.
Proven success in a Finance Director, CFO, or senior finance leadership role within a startup or scale-up, ideally SaaS.
Strong track record of building finance functions and implementing scalable systems and controls.
Demonstrated experience in:
Revenue recognition, working capital management, and SaaS metrics.
International operations, including consolidation, intercompany agreements, FX and infrastructure investments.
Managing debt, equity, share options, and fundraising/M&A (preferred).
Highly commercially astute with a clear strategic vision and execution drive.
Skilled in managing ambiguity, making trade-off decisions, and driving projects to completion.
Experience growing, leading, and mentoring finance teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
