I. Station or Machines:
A. Forklifts
B. Cranes
C. Engine lathes
D. Milling machines
E. Drill presses
F. Surface grinders
G. Cut-off saws
H. Welding machines
I. Cutting torches
II. Job Duties /Responsibilities
A. Diagnose and repair machine breakdowns.
B. Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
C. Diagnose and repair electrical circuits.
D. Determine parts required for repair and generate purchase requisitions or make parts as required.
E. Fabricate miscellaneous items from sketches and verbal instructions.
F. Perform building repairs and new installations, including roofing, air lines, water lines, gas lines, drains, electrical panels, conduit, cranes, hoists, steam lines, traps, etc.
G. Install machinery and equipment, including rigging, leveling and anchoring.
H. Use electronic test equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
I. Troubleshoot electronic control problems down to the board level.
J. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor.
III. Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education or Certification)
A. Minimum of two (2) years electronics training with two (2) years of troubleshooting.
B. Good mechanical aptitude
C. Two (2) years of machine repair.
D. Must have a valid driver’s license
E. Must be able to read and write in English.
F. Must have experience in brazing, welding, carpentry.
G. Working knowledge of boilers and HVAC.
H. The ability to analyze, diagnose, and repair all types of equipment.
IV. Minimum Physical Qualifications:
A. Must be able to life 40 lbs.
B. Must be able to work at heights of ladders and elevating equipment.
V. Minimum Qualifications:
A. Familiar with safety rules and department procedures.
B. Minimum of two (2) years electronic experience or high school graduate and one (1) year experience in electronics.
C. Cutting, brazing and welding experience required.
D. Ability to read parts drawings and electrical and hydraulic schematics.
E. Must be able to read and write in English.
F. Must be able to read blueprints.
G. Familiar with department procedures.
VI. On-Going Training Requirements
A. Safety rules
B. Fire safety and use of extinguishers
C. Operation of different types of equipment
D. Training or seminars as management deems necessary.
