Maintenance Worker
The Maintenance Worker performs routine maintenance tasks in response torequests following equipment or facility failures or in support of modifications or upgrades.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Follows all safety regulations and precautions.
- Participates in weekend coverage of the plant on a rotating basis with other maintenance workers.
- Diagnoses and repairs equipment in a timely manner.
- Reads and interprets technical manuals, drawings, and repair directives in order to repair failed or failing systems.
- Reacts to emergencies with a sense of urgency.
- Participates in preventative maintenance program.
- Participates as part of a team, including the sharing of information and knowledge.
- Maintains grounds as directed by Manager of Facilities, EH&S and/or Team Leader.
- Follows schedules and plans as required.
- Retains records of work performed.
- Orders parts on occasion.
- Engages with internal and external technical support in a professional manner.
- Maintains the maintenance area, tools, and supplies in accordance with 6S practices.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Willing and able to work overtime as necessary.
- Performs other dutiesas assigned or required by the position.
Work Environment & Safety Equipment Required
- Working conditions are 100% manufacturing environment.
- Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts.
- Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and airborne particles.
- Noise level is usually loud.
- Hearing protection may be required in certain areas.
- Safety glasses (ANSI Z87 compliant) is required in all manufacturing areas.
- Fully enclosed safety shoes (ANSI Z41 compliant) of solid leather construction with a steel or composite toe cap are required in all manufacturing areas.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Five years’ electromechanical systems or technical A.A.S. preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to follow verbal, written, and/or detailed instructions requiring simple judgment.
- Ability to make minor decisions and exercise care in order to execute satisfactory work.
Hourly rate: $18.85 - $28.16/hour
