Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a talented CAD Design Technician III to join our dynamic Civil/Site Discipline in Gilbert, Arizona!

Responsibilities:- Prepare and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
- Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.
- Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
- Perform high level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans.
- Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas.
- Prepare concept layout plans.
- Perform grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design.
- Conform to the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
- Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
- Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
- Prepare project exhibits.
- Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.
- Prepare CAD files for authorized media release to external parties / agencies.
- High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other related software.
- Demonstrate general computer skills, knowledge, and acumen (i.e., familiarity with Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
