Job Description:
Responsible for ensuring Hillsboro Aero Academy (HAA) students receive industry leading customer service throughout their training. High level of customer service will be provided by assisting and motivating student to complete their resumes and interview prepping to prepare for jobs in the aviation industry. This role is primarily based at our Hillsboro location, with the option for hybrid work. Travel to the other campuses once a month.
Job Duties:
- Develop relationships and contacts within the aviation industry to assist placement of program graduates
- Connect students with relevant resources such as job boards, and networking opportunities in the Aviation Flight & Aviation Maintenance industries
- Assist students in setting career goals, developing action plans and exploring the different aviation career paths
- Providing student with guidance on job searching techniques, resume and cover letter writing and interview preparation
- Conduct workshops on topics like career exploration, resume writing and interview skills
- Maintain graduate employment tracking records
- Maintaining School records in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, HAA policies, accreditation and state licensure.
- Participate in Student Monthly events and meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
***This job requires travel to other campus locations on a monthly basis***
Qualifications/Licenses:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Career Counseling, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Applicants must hold a valid, unrestricted US driver's license, and should have reliable transportation.
- Aviation flight and maintenance industry experience, desirable.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, professional, and engaging interactions.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to a diverse audience.
- Strong ability to build rapport and establish trust with students, colleagues, and outside network opportunities.
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in career services, student support, recruitment, human resources, or a related customer service-focused role.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in career counseling, career planning, or student guidance, ideally within an educational or technical training environment.
- Aviation flight and maintenance industry experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with building professional networks and connecting students to employment opportunities.
- Background in workshop facilitation, interview preparation, or resume development.
