We are seeking a mission-driven Data Sales & Commercial Lead to grow C4ADS’ commercial partner engagement and data sales revenue line. This role sits at the intersection of business development, client management, technical data analysis, and global security. It offers direct exposure to C4ADS’ cutting-edge data management and analysis methodologies, access to C4ADS’ extensive partner network, and an opportunity to contribute to the high-impact PAI adaptation strategy across the government, private sector, and civil society.

This role involves significant internal coordination, ensuring smooth handoffs between sales and delivery teams while maintaining a clear focus on growth and customer success.
What You’ll Do
- Lead complex sales cycles from end to end – from prospecting to close – ensuring alignment with C4ADS’ mission and data offerings.
- Deliver product demos to new customers, build proposals, lead negotiations, and close deals while navigating complex partner requirements and approval processes.
- Establish deep technical understanding of C4ADS’ offerings and tradecraft to articulate their value to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain strong collaborative working relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless handoff – from sales to execution.
- Continuously iterate and develop collateral to showcase C4ADS data offerings and capabilities.
- Collect and share client feedback to inform future engagement strategy and offerings.
- Maintain a CRM deals pipeline and regularly report progress to senior leadership.
- Meet and exceed annual sales targets.
What We’re Looking For
Required core skills are as follows:
- Minimum of 2 years of government sales experience with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding established revenue targets. This includes demonstrated experience ensuring customer success, relationship management, and pre-sales prospecting.
- Experience working with and representing highly technical products, including data or software products, in a client facing setting. This may include solutions architecture, DaaS/SaaS strategy, high vantage data analysis, or similar.
- Experience managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation through closing deals and handoff.
- Demonstrated success working across internal teams to bring ideas to life and coordinate complex initiatives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling proposals and present pitches to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong workflow management, prioritization, and time management abilities.
- Clear interest in international security, PAI, transnational crime, and/or compliance.
- Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Washington, D.C. to work from our DC office at least 2 days per week
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
One or more of the following skills is highly preferable
- Prior experience with government and compliance clients.
- Familiarity with conducting data-driven investigations, sanctions compliance, or developing risk-screening tools.
- Understanding of data management, ETL, and bulk data integration.
- Experience navigating long and complex sales cycles with multiple decision-makers.
- Proficiency in HubSpot
