Key Responsibilities:
- Perform startups, setups, and changeovers for molding machines and secondary equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process, tooling, and equipment issues.
- Monitor production quality, complete documentation, and maintain accurate setup records.
- Perform preventive maintenance, minor mold repairs, and keep tooling/equipment organized.
- Support continuous improvement to reduce scrap and increase efficiency.
- Train and guide setup personnel; ensure adherence to safety and company policies.
- Provide temporary supervisory coverage, including assigning work, monitoring productivity, and ensuring specifications are met.
- Partner with Quality and Warehouse teams to meet customer standards.
- Assist with employee training, reviews, and performance management when directed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May temporarily supervise production employees, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and addressing issues in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred; or 3–5 years of related experience.
- Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical documents and communicate effectively with employees and management.
- Basic math and reasoning skills; able to interpret technical instructions.
- Forklift operation experience a plus.
Physical Demands
- Frequent walking, standing, and use of hands.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must have good vision and ability to work in loud, fast-paced environments.
Work Environment
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and high noise.
- Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, weather, and electrical risk.
