We are looking for candidates that desire a career in a forward-looking, progressive department that focuses on quality, innovation, and leadership. We are a 64 bed Neuro-rehab facility focusing on helping patients re-establish independent living and quality of life. Nutrition is a vital part of patients recovery and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately serves meals to patients that comply with doctors’ orders and/or dietitian(s) meal plans. Includes, but is not limited to Pathways patients, diabetic patients, and NRI patients.
- Completes assigned sanitation tasks in a timely, consistent, thorough manner. Attention paid to detail in cleaning, not just visible outer surfaces.
- Prepares food in a quality manner.
- Uses standardized recipes and appropriate portions to control meal content and cost.
- Accurately and consistently completes all assigned paperwork. Includes, but is not limited to stock sheets, food temperature logs, equipment temps, nighttime shutdown lists, chlorine content, etc.
- Works in a manner that promotes harmony and good relations with others. Includes, but is not limited to coworkers, other departments, patients, guests, and vendors.
- Arrives to work on time and ready to work. Limits departmental overtime by clocking in at assigned time AND working efficiently to complete work by end of shift.
Schedule:
12-hr Weekend Only shifts; picking up additional shifts as needed is available
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience using computers and EHR preferred
- Previous experience in food service required: hospital food service preferred
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of cooking
- Must be able to cooperate with patients and other staff
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs, stand and walk for long periods of time, and read and write accordingly
- Must be at least 18 years of age
