Job Description

Position Overview: We are looking for an exceptional leader to be our Manufacturing Plant Manager in Epernon & Arc en Barrois, France.   

The Manufacturing Plant Manager will oversee all daily plant operations while driving continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.  The Manufacturing Plant Manager will lead overall production and manufacturing of products, ensure policies and procedures are followed and inspire, develop, and engage employees at all levels.

 

  • Operations Management:

 

    • Oversees operational performance in Plant Management, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety), Quality, Production, Operational Excellence, Maintenance, and Engineering to maintain high standards of manufacturing operations by ensuring quality product at a lower cost / service, on-time delivery and producing eco-friendly product in safe manner to meet society requirement on environments.  
    • Responsible for zero harm culture and processes, tools and behaviors that drive to zero accidents.
    • Overall Supply Chain Management and Operational Leadership to ensure plant performance and productivity is meeting or exceeding expectations
    • Maintain sustainable performance targets in Quality, Production, Operational Excellence, Maintenance, EHS and Engineering aligned to overall Supply Chain strategy and goals
    • Oversee planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
    • Develop an operational excellence system including coaching and leading continuous improvement activities throughout the plant  
    • Increase production, asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards

 

  • People Management:

 

    • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
    • Share a trusting relationship with plant and support staff
    • Leadership development through talent review, experiential opportunities and talent programs
    • Influence and learn from plant staff, peers and leaders

 

  • Strategic Direction: 

 

    • Leads operations team on developing plans/tactics and sets direction to ensure company remains competitive in all aspects
    • Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that allow the organization to improve its competitive and profitability position
    • Alignment with Global Supply Chain Functions, Sales, I&D, Production and Manufacturing team to achieve common goals
    • Implement strategies in alignment with company initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus

 

  • Financial Management & Analytics:

 

    • Works with Finance Department Head, and Sales team to complete aggressive yearly budget and submit for leadership approval
    • Review with finance team on all costs and expenses, making sure they meet and exceed the budgeted EBITDA
    • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
    • Collect and analyze data to report on plant effectiveness
    • Identify and implement the organization’s short- and long-term business planning and scheduling methodologies

Requirements and Skills

  • BS degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field
  • Proven work experience as a Plant Manager
  • Proven managerial and leadership experience
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
