EDS EMEA Transfer Pricing Manager
We are looking for a highly talented and motivated Transfer Pricing Manager to join our team in Wuppertal, Germany to support our EDS Global Transfer Pricing Lead. This is a truly unique opportunity to work on global transactions, TP planning opportunities, and TP controversy issues throughout EMEA that drive significant value. Your Role:
- Key member of our Global EDS Tax Team, reporting directly to the Director, Global Transfer Pricing.
- Projects will be assigned at the discretion of the Senior Management Tax Team.
- In order of priority, responsibilities will generally include:
- All Operational Transfer pricing matters; including:
- Preparation, maintenance, and submission of all transfer pricing documentation and related reporting.
- Managing a governance system to monitor the transfer pricing environment; including:
- Preparation and maintenance of clear TP policies and guidelines.
- Conducting regular training of relevant finance, legal, and operational teams on impact of transfer pricing on organizational structures.
- Reviewing and assessing whether Aptiv has
- Maintained appropriate legal entity substance,
- Maintained appropriate contractual substance,
- Legal entity / statutory reporting is in alignment with pricing policies,
- Documentation and reporting has been properly maintained.
- Documenting results of assessment and reporting out on the findings to appropriate finance, tax, legal, and operational teams.
- All related strategic planning initiatives, business model reviews including:
- Management and preparation of detailed transfer pricing and valuation analysis necessary to identify and evaluate planning opportunities,
- Management and documentation of plan to execute relevant planning including insuring all documentation and appropriate intercompany contracts are in place, ensure systems prepared and producing all necessary transactional data, review plans with relevant operational and functional teams, and preparation of detailed audit defense files,
- Pursuit of all transfer pricing related governmental ruling, APAs, or other agreements,
- Supporting acquisition and divestiture due diligence and planning reliant on TP expertise, and
- Management and participation of related transfer pricing controversies.
Your Background:
- 5+ years tax experience within the tax function of a multinational publicly-traded corporation, Big 4 public accounting firm, and/or law firm; strong experience with non-US based multi-nationals highly preferred.
- Extensive experience with both supply chain and international (foreign local, inbound and outbound) tax planning.
- Experience in broad based foreign jurisdictions including EMEA, US and APAC preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required; JD or Master’s degree strong preference.
- Strong management and leadership skills and demonstrated success in leading, mentoring and developing a group of tax professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to interact well with people of various backgrounds and levels.
- Must have a strong desire to develop and advance the careers of their direct and indirect reports to develop the next generation Aptiv tax leader for success both in and outside the tax function.
