During your 12-month industrial placement in our Sheffield office, you’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to grow your engineering expertise—while making real contributions to Autodesk’s BIM Collaborate Pro product. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, designers, and product experts to build new features, using modern web technologies in a collaborative, agile environment. Alongside technical growth, you’ll also develop professional skills and build connections with other placement students and interns across EMEA and globally.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design through to release
Work on React-based front-end applications
Collaborate with your team in our Agile (Kanban) development methodology
Gain insight into modern software development practices within a global organization
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in a software development–related degree and available for a 12-month industrial placement starting Summer 2026

Open-minded, motivated to learn new concepts and ideas
Interest or exposure to JavaScript and TypeScript
Familiarity with software design principles

Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React)
Exposure to Agile development practices
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
