Adjunct faculty members are responsible for deliveringcurriculum, providing instruction, and performing student learning assessment.The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively useinstructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning.Courses at Waubonsee Community College may be offered in various deliverymodes, however Waubonsee does not accept applications for fully remoteinstructors. Responsibilities: Designinglessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to meet the establishedcourse description as well as program, course, and college learning outcomesand/or objectives while addressing each student’s needs as diverse learners. Meetingall college deadlines for submission of attendance, grades, and data collectionfor assessment of student learning. Incorporatinglearning-centered principles and concepts while motivating students to activelyparticipate in their educational experiences. Integratinginstructional and classroom technology (if applicable) appropriately andeffectively to deliver and enhance teaching and learning. Workingcollaboratively with professional colleagues to serve the needs of students andthe community. Modelingprofessionalism with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonalskills.
Creatinga course syllabus utilizing the approved college template.
Master’sdegree in Physics or a Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Physics,required. Preferred Experience Teaching traditionally underserved populations. Incorporating technology and multimedia applications into teaching and learningprocess. Teaching in multiple instructional modalities. Utilizing Learning Management Systems.
Teaching at a Community College or Vocational/Technical institution.
