POSITION TITLE: Stabilization Specialist
REPORTS TO: Stabilization Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates public and private resources and provides direct services to eligible individuals and the community. Protect the privacy of customers/families and hold in confidence all information obtained.

Salary: $16/hour
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides direct services/vouchers and referrals to individuals and/or families to meet emergency needs.
- Ensures that all client household information is obtained for every client entered into EmpowOR to meet State and Federal program requirements.
- Ensure all referrals and referral follow-us are entered into EmpowOR.
- Ensures that families of low income are not excluded from services which may be available through NKCAC and other agencies, and that understandable materials are made available to them, such as a “Community Resources Guide” and referrals.
- Provides excellent customer service to individuals and/or families while assisting low-income residents of the county to access services that further their self-reliance, including temporary financial and supportive assistance and developmental programming as determined by the annual CSBG Budget Plan and Proposal and Agency Strategic Plan.
- Provides services through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and other NKCAC programs as instructed within the assigned service area.
- Provides necessary administrative and programmatic documentation as required for reporting purposes.
- Conducts the designated community needs assessment surveys and customer satisfaction surveys with clients, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Takes and submits applications for HEA, EFSP, and other local programs.
- Distribute and conduct county specific programming and funds from discretionary accounts and fiscal court funds.
- Assures compliance with all program and grant requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic databases
- Must have reliable transportation – valid driver's license and proof of insurance
- Pass criminal background check and alcohol/drug screening
