The full-time starting salary is normally £28,287.00 per annum, with progression available in post to £32,006.00 per annum.

Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study right in the heart of the city. Student and Academic Services are currently seeking Programme Administrators to join their team. The role will suit an experienced administrator, with experience in accurate record management and a keen eye for detail.
You will be supporting the administration of academic programmes in line with agreed university regulations, policies, and service standards, ensuring programmes adhere to institutional strategy. The post holder will provide high quality, efficient and effective administrative support for students with responsibility for a wide range of course administration duties, sharing responsibility for efficient and seamless delivery of student services across the Faculty. The role will involve administration of a portfolio of courses and modules (postgraduate and undergraduate), maintaining student records and providing services and support to students and colleagues across the student lifecycle from clearing to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support across the academic lifecycle, in line with regulations, policies and service standards.
- Maintaining accurate student and programme records using university systems, ensuring compliance with institutional requirements.
- Responding professionally and promptly to enquiries from students, academic staff and other colleagues.
- Providing administrative support for programme-related meetings, including minute-taking and preparation of documentation.
- Assisting with the collection and processing of student engagement and attendance data.
The Programme Administrator will:
- Have experience of working in a busy administrative role.
- Possess skills in organising and prioritising workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
- Have strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Be experienced in responding to enquiries in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivery excellent service to students and staff,

The appointed candidate will normally be employed through our subsidiary company BCU Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham City University. Appointees with prior LGPS membership who wish to enter the LGPS scheme will be able to do so and will be employed by Birmingham City University directly.
