POSITION: Resident Services Area Manager
REPORTS TO: Resident Services Regional Manager

SUMMARY
The Resident Services Area Manager will work in coordination with the Asset Management team and Property Management to ensure programming is delivered that addresses residents’ needs. They will oversee the development of strategic programming that meets resident needs, reflecting the organization’s belief that “everyone deserves a quality place to live” and helps improve their overall quality of life.
.RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)
- Competence in implementing a full range of on-site resident services programming in an affordable multi-family setting
- Train new RSCs according to Department standards
- Supervision and support for up to six RSCs, including at least twice monthly check-ins and monthly site visits to ensure compliance and adherence to departmental standards
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting for assigned RSCs
- Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant external organizations and individuals
- Provide on-site resident services in the event of vacancies, more extended term absences, etc., to ensure services aren’t interrupted for long periods of time
- Maintain collaborative relationships with PMC at the regional level
- Participate in the development of pilot programs to test new models of service
- Participate in relevant local, regional, state, and/or national organizations as assigned.
- Represent the company at community events
- Foster a trauma-informed work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or Education preferred but not required
- Relevant 1-3 years of experience as a Social Worker, Resident Services Coordinator in an Affordable Housing setting
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work
- Ability to utilize resources effectively
- Excellent communication skills (writing and speaking), strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Critical Thinking and Problem-solving skills
- Self-directed and takes initiative
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Valid Driver’s license/Travel ID

WORK CONDITIONS
You are required to work in enclosed office spaces in a climate-controlled environment. Noise levels will be moderate due to office equipment, foot traffic, telephones, and meetings. This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, employees must be able to engage in routine physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, and using their hands for typing and handling materials.
Employees must be capable of lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds and possess adequate visual abilities, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required for training, property support, or other job-related needs.
