About this opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented LMS Administrator to manage and optimize our current Absorb LMS and to support a planned migration to a new LMS (TBD). This role will own day-to-day LMS administration, support migration activities (testing, cutover, etc.), as well as learn and manage the new LMS post-migration. The ideal candidate balances technical skills (LMS system administration, reporting) with stakeholder partnership, training, and documentation to ensure seamless learning experiences across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day LMS administration: user provisioning, role & permission management, catalog maintenance, enrollment rules, and email templates.
- Upload, configure, and QA learning content including SCORM, xAPI, MP4, PDF, and assessments; manage content updates and content retirement.
- Build and maintain learning paths, curricula, and certifications
- Partner with Sr. Learning Content Manager to create and distribute learner and administrator reports and dashboards using LMS reporting and supplemental BI tools.
- Troubleshoot learner and administrator issues; maintain an SLA for ticket resolution and communicate status to stakeholders.
- Partner with instructional designers, and content owners to publish and QA courses; support content migrations and/or platform upgrades.
- Create and maintain system documentation, process guides, and training materials for administrators and end users.
- Partner with Sr. Manager Learning Content to track and report on LMS KPIs and continuous improvement opportunities (e.g., course completion rates, user activity, platform issues, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years hands-on experience administering an enterprise LMS (Absorb experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of e-learning standards and content packaging: SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can), AICC.
- Experience with SSO (SAML/OAuth), APIs, HRIS integrations (e.g., SuccessFactors) and CSV-based imports.
- Proficiency with reporting and data manipulation (LMS reporting, SQL or BI tools like Tableau/Power BI preferred).
- Solid technical troubleshooting skills and experience with user support/incident management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with proven organizational and project-management skills preferred.
Preferred/Optional Experience:
- LMS administrator certification or vendor training.
- Basic understanding of API configuration, HRIS sync, and common use cases for LMS integrations a plus.
- Experience with learning strategy or certification programs.

- Communication and collaboration with Enterprise Learning team and business stakeholders
- Innovation, efficiency, and accuracy with LMS functionality and related process documentation
