The Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving performance, growth, and operational excellence within the Sales Department. This individual will lead a team of sales professionals, oversee local sales activities, and collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that meet revenue goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire teams, analyze performance metrics, and implement data-driven improvements. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-oriented, and passionate about building a high-performing sales culture rooted in accountability and service.
Responsibilities
- Assists with hiring and training of sales staff alongside recruiter and corporate trainer
- Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local sales managers.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Provides leadership to the sales team.
- Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met.
- Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
- Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
- Assigns leads and sets quotas for sales teams.
- Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
- Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
- Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least five (5) years of progressive experience in sales, including at least two (2) years in a leadership or management role overseeing teams and driving performance metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay: $80,000 annual salary.
- Sales Bonus: Monthly team-based bonus opportunities up to $1,000, with escalators that can exceed $4,000 for overachievement.

Schedule: Varied Monday – Saturday
