Job Description

THE WORK
• Lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex systems and equipment at customer sites
• Work directly with onsite customers and the government to ensure successful system sell-off
• Lead a team of technicians to complete installations and maintenance tasks
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians
• Develop and implement installation and maintenance plans to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine installation and maintenance requirements
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure timely and successful completion of installations and maintenance tasks
• Travel to customer sites, foreign and domestic, to install and set up Griffin 1 and 2 display systems on flight platforms (military and commercial)
• Work with 360-degree full mission system pilot trainers
• Unload and inventory equipment, and stage items for installation
• Position and install UPS units, PDU units, and other critical infrastructure
• Route and connect server room cables, blue power cables, and install circuit breakers
• Perform mechanical and electrical work, including installation and maintenance of air conditioning ductwork, highbay ducting, and GPS antennas
• Complete system integrations, including IOS desk configurations, EPO systems, and power verification
• Install and configure network components, and perform system checks
• Mark equipment positions on the floor, complete debriefing tasks, and provide detailed reports on installation progress and issues

WHO YOU ARE
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our team as a lead technician. As a lead Field Technician, you will be responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex systems and equipment at customer sites. You will work directly with onsite customers and the government to ensure successful system sell-off and will be responsible for leading a team of technicians to complete installations and maintenance tasks.

This role requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be required to lift up to 40lbs, bend, and kneel unassisted. You must also be able to travel up to 75% of the time, both domestically and internationally, to install and set up systems at customer sites. Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in installation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems

• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical system installation and troubleshooting

• Experience with cabling, circuit breakers, and power systems

• Familiarity with safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices

• Leadership and team management skills

Desired skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics

• Collins dome installation and removal experience is highly desirable

• Experience with server room equipment and UPS systems

• Knowledge of rack connection standards and disk deployment processes

• Experience working with 360-degree full mission system pilot trainers

• Experience with system sell-offs and logistics

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $71,300 - $125,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $82,000 - $136,620. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
