Young adults in their 20s–30s with interests like art, animals, gardening, video games, hiking, music, and volunteering. They participate in Special Olympics, fitness classes, horseback riding, adapted aquatics, and community engagement. Each resident has unique PWS characteristics, making every day dynamic and meaningful.
- Support daily living skills: cooking, hygiene, self-care, money management, household tasks
- Implement PWS-specific protocols: food security, behavior support, structured routines
- Facilitate community, recreational, and social activities
- Administer and document medications; monitor behaviors
- Collaborate with clinicians, families, and team members on person-centered plans
- Participate in ongoing specialized training: PWS, ProAct, Trauma-Informed Care, Person-Centered Thinking
- Patient, resilient, observant, and positive
- Comfortable setting firm but kind limits
- Experienced with developmental disabilities (PWS experience preferred)
- Able to lift/transfer up to 50 lbs., with reliable transportation and valid CA driver’s license
- Ready to commit to high-intensity, mission-driven work
