Longmont High School (LHS), founded as Longmont’s original high school in 1901, is a learning community committed to guiding students in becoming productive, empowered and involved citizens of the world. Position Summary:
Longmont High School is seeking a professional mural artist to design and complete a large-scale mural on campus. The selected artist will collaborate with staff and students, providing opportunities for students to participate in design, preparation, and painting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop final mural design in collaboration with staff and student representatives.
Engage and mentor students in aspects of the mural process.
Prepare wall surface, source supplies (budget provided), and execute painting.
Ensure mural completion within two weeks and apply protective finish for durability.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with large-scale murals (portfolio required).
Experience working with youth or community projects preferred.
Strong communication, planning, and collaboration skills.
Compensation:
Project-based stipend (commensurate with experience).
Materials budget provided.
