We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to join one of our originations team. This new role will oversee loan transactions from application through closing, ensuring seamless execution in line with various Agency (Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD) guidelines and internal standards for Bridge, Single Family Rental, Construction and Build to Rent products. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the transaction process, maintaining timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and proactively resolving issues during underwriting.

 

Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities)

 

The Production Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

 

  • Manage multifamily/Single Family Rental (SFR) loan transactions from application through closing for SVP Sales.
  • Monitor and enforce key deadlines and deliverables throughout the underwriting and closing process.
  • Review and coordinate third-party reports including appraisals, environmental assessments, and property condition reports.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae/HUD during underwriting, facilitating communication and resolving process-related issues.
  • Work closely with various internal groups to manage Bridge, SFR/BTR and other non-Agency Products pipeline.
  • Work closely with internal teams—screening, underwriting, legal, insurance—and directly with our borrowers and brokers to ensure deals move seamlessly through the pipeline.
  • Proactively coordinate and monitor deals to reduce friction to scale volume without compromising quality.
  • Report regularly to the SVP, Sales and his team regarding transaction status, key risks, and workflow bottlenecks.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot issues that may arise throughout the due diligence and underwriting cycle for all product types, both Agency and non-Agency.

 

Qualifications

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Finance. Emphasis and/or coursework in real estate preferred.

 

Experience: 5+ years’ of Real Estate lending experience w/ 4 years of Agency Underwriting/Production  experience, either Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD or Structured Products.    

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 

  • Understanding of underwriting of multi-family lending
  • Strong Microsoft Excel real estate modeling skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills are necessary
  • Hard-working team player with a desire to make a career in the multifamily lending industry

 

Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus. The starting base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the course of the year. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
