Join our Legacy  

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales-West, the Director of Central Sales will oversee Musco’s Branded and Private Brand Olive operations for retail customers across designated Central Markets. Primary customer responsibility will be Target, UNFI and all indirects. While subject to change, additional customers Meijer, SpartanNash, Schnucks, HyVee and Fresh Thyme, targeted for inclusion. Effective performance in this role will be reflected by:

  • Achieving and surpassing sales, gross margin, and market share targets within established trade budgets.
  • Maintaining consistent engagement with customers in the market, ensuring continued growth, fostering robust relationships with retail partners, and collaborating effectively with sales agent teams.
  • Proactively identifying and cultivating new customer partnerships and pursuing emerging business opportunities.

Your Contribution to Excellence 

  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets for assigned customers and territory.  
  • Utilize consumption trends, Musco Category Management, and Marketing personnel to create fact based, S.M.A.R.T. annual sales plans.         
  • Collaborate with and manage sales agents located within assigned markets to achieve targeted sales and business management goals.   
  • Responsible for the preparation and timely delivery of all customer presentations in designated markets, including retail analysis, category management, marketing strategy, sales forecasting, online/digital support requirements.  
  • Successful management is demonstrated by maintaining a vigilant pulse in the marketplace, exceptional planning, and organization, obtaining, and analyzing market data including competitive activity on a consistent, thorough, and timely basis, insightful preparation of presentation data, and presenting same in a concise, compelling, and professional manner 
  • Responsible for the input and ongoing management of customer plans in Musco planning system.
  • Frequent travel is expected throughout the year in all weather conditions to assigned markets. Estimated travel at 50% - 60%.   All business travel is reimbursed weekly.  
  • Expected attendance at customer and broker events, industry functions and other engagements to develop, maintain and enhance Musco’s professional relationships

What you Bring to the Table

  • Proven Sales Leadership in consumer-packaged goods: Successfully led high-performing teams, drove strategic growth across key markets, and consistently exceeded revenue targets through data-driven decision-making, client relationship excellence, and innovative sales strategies
  • Skilled communicator and strategic thinker with strong presentation abilities, analytical mindset, and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative and adaptable team player who thrives in cross-functional environments, welcomes feedback, and brings energy and professionalism to every interaction.
  • Technically proficient and highly organized, with strong skills in category management, syndicated data tools (e.g., Nielsen, Circana), and software like PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Business-educated and professionally mature, holding a bachelor’s degree preferred in business or marketing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Target and UNFI; Twin Cities residency preferred
  • Familiarity with Partners On-Line, SV Harbor, and CRISP
  • 5+ years in mid-to-senior sales roles with Central/West customers
  • Background in both branded and private label product development
  • A personal passion for olives!
