Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Human Resources Assistant. This position performs administrative, technical and statistical support of a highly confidential and complex nature. This position works closely with management on HR initiatives and priorities, with a concentration on data entry, data integrity and business processes relating to the data maintained within the firm’s HR system.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conducts regular audits of HR system data to ensure accuracy. Works closely with appropriate personnel to ensure integrity of HR system data.
- Serves as back up to the HR data entry function. Assists in the data entry for large projects, including but not limited to, Summer Associate and Fall Associate onboarding, open enrollment, and fiscal year end changes.
- Works closely with appropriate personnel to ensure integrity of HR system data. Consults with management on the procedures and best practices regarding capturing and updating data in HR systems.
- Utilizes Microsoft Excel to organize datasets, create pivot tables and charts to fulfill various data requests and monthly reports. Documents and organizes reports for easy retrieval and future use. Creates templates, as needed.
- Prepares and distributes monthly Human Resources reports and statistics to firm management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- Experience: Experience in a professional services office or other legal support experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Other Qualifications: Exceptional written and verbal communication and listening skills. Accurate typing, word processing skills and ability to pay strict attention to detail. Spelling, punctuation and use of grammar must be of high quality. Must have strong organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and moderate or advanced keyboard usage. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through both written and oral communications. Ability to lift, carry, reach, stoop or bend, at times repetitively, for tasks involving filing or movement of files/supplies weighing up to 5-10 pounds. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. Ability to maintain flexibility regarding work assignments to work overtime on short notice required. Ability to work in a cooperative manner as a member of a team. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The expected salary range for District of Columbia based employees is $53,400.00 to $77,600.00, though salaries for employees based outside of the District of Columbia may differ. Beyond an employment candidate’s physical location, salary offers may be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, education, training, and/or experience.
