POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Support Technician will be part of a talented team of IT Support Technicians that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering end-user support and ensuring the highest levels of professionalism. Qualified support technicians will have a background in general IT support in the areas of computer hardware and software. You will work as part of a team and individually with some supervision. Provide resolutions for end-users in person, via telephone or from a remote location using remote support applications.
A great IT Support Technician has excellent communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, and other business systems within established service levels. The ideal candidate will also have an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines.
- Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately.
- Provide Tier-2 technical support for Enterprise Applications to all D&W team members.
- Work closely with a variety of third parties to ensure complete resolution to system issues.
- Report and update Service Requests in a timely, clear, and concise manner.
- Open, track and close service requests to confirm problem resolution and promote end-user satisfaction.
- Install, configure, and support various types of hardware including desktops, laptops, monitors, tablets, phones, specialized manufacturing technology, peripherals, and printers.
- Participate in cross training within department for improved coverage and customer service.
- Stay up to date on the latest technology developments as they relate to D&W systems, infrastructure, operating systems, connectivity, and personal computers.
- Quickly troubleshoot problems and find resolutions in accordance with Enterprise Standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in computer technology related program.
- 0-4 years of experience providing IT support to end-users both in person and at remote locations.
- Ability to approach issues from user/business perspective to appropriately prioritize support needs.
- Must have strong problem solving and organization skills.
- Strong verbal, written, telephone and public relations skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Client and Server Operating Systems.
· Experience with Hardware Install and Setup: desktop PC, laptop, and printers.
· Experience with Hardware repair: desktop PC, laptop, and printers.
· Experience with troubleshooting issues with all areas of Office 365 up to and including client applications.
· Knowledge of Active Directory Administration (User, Group, Computer, Group Policy).
- Experience with IT support for multiple locations.
- Knowledge of administration of Microsoft Windows Server.
- Knowledge of Imaging and Disk Duplication technology.
Experience with using Help Desk systems in an Enterprise environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee’s work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Employee is expected to maintain an organized work area and contribute to the overall decorum of a professional setting. A minimal amount of work will require exposure to the manufacturing facility. Employee is expected to be familiar and in compliance with all plant safety and cleanliness (GMP) regulations. Workdays are generally Monday through Friday; however, the employee is expected to work additional, including weekend hours as required fulfilling job duties. Location is based on employee’s designated facilities and is fully onsite
