Harbor is seeking an EHR/Business Analyst to join our Toledo team! This position as serves as an integral part of Quality Improvement and Information Technology Teams and maintains knowledge of agency EHR system, other technology resources and agency business practices.

Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, business administration, information technology or related field. Master degree preferred.  
  • Experience working in a behavioral health organization and/or with behavioral health EHR software required. Prefer experience with SmartCare application.
  • Project management and meeting facilitation experience.
  • Prior experience developing training materials and conducting training sessions.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with variety of audiences.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, be honest, dependable, self-disciplined, organized and be able to work well as a team member.

Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:

  1. Observe and analyze business process functions throughout the agency. Identify, plan and assist with the implementation of improved work flows to increase efficiency and improve outcomes.
  2. Facilitate project meetings and designated work group initiatives.
  3. Develop training materials and provide individual, small and large group training sessions on how to utilize software and other technology efficiently and effectively.
  4. Create specification requirement documents for reports, outcome measurement tools, and software customizations for EHR application.
  5. Coordinates with third party vendors as needed and/or directed to carry out project initiatives and ensure stability of software operations.
  6. Serves as consultant for other teams and departments to assist with full integration of technology use into business work flows.
  7. Provide timely communication to agency staff regarding EHR system updates and modifications.
  8. Develops and maintains an excellent understanding of Harbor’s EHR software package.
  9. Helps test reports, customizations and new software builds along with other technology updates.
  10. Participates as an active member of the Quality Improvement Team and provides back up for QI team members as needed and directed.
  11. Works collaboratively with IT team and other departments throughout the agency to ensure agency staff utilize technology resources available to result in optimal efficiency and effective outcomes.
  12. Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies, and demonstrates continued growth.
