PSCU is seeking a creative and strategic social media professional to lead the development and execution of our credit union’s social media strategy. This role is responsible for crafting compelling content, driving community engagement, and elevating our brand presence across social platforms. As a key brand ambassador, you’ll ensure all interactions reflect our values and support broader business goals. The ideal candidate is both imaginative and analytical, with a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of digital trends. This position also requires adherence to all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act. 


 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the credit union’s social media strategy across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Create and publish engaging content that reflects our brand and connects with current and prospective members.
  • Monitor social channels, respond to comments and inquiries, and foster a positive online community.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives.
  • Track performance using analytics tools and report on engagement, growth, and ROI.
  • Stay current with social media trends and integrate relevant topics into content planning.
  • Represent the credit union in video content and at promotional events.
  • Support marketing efforts tied to industry associations (e.g., MCUL, America’s Credit Unions).
  • Ensure all social media activity aligns with brand standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, social media management in financial services or related industry.
  • Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field


Other Requirements

  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events, campaigns, time-sensitive projects, and other business needs.
  • Occasional travel may be required to attend events, conferences, and community outreach programs.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to various locations for events, meetings, and community outreach programs.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Facebook Meta tools.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Proficient in graphic design programs (i.e., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud) and social media channels (i.e., Facebook, TikTok, Instagram).
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills; able to turn insights into actionable strategies.
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to work independently. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and with external partners. 
  • Embraces and embodies the PSCU organizational culture and acts as a brand ambassador.
  • Demonstrates personal financial responsibility, integrity, and high work ethics. 
  • Satisfactory attendance/punctuality record. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Understands regulations and laws related to marketing and advertising in the financial industry. 
  • This role is hybrid, with expectations to work in office or events as needed.
