Overview:

The IT Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of both small and large-scale IT projects, including the implementation of new HRMS/HRIS, ERP and other systems. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives. The IT Project Manager collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors, to support the company's strategic initiatives.

Essential Functions:

1. Project Management: 90%

  • Leads and manages IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Performs feasibility studies to analyze the viability of suggested projects.
  • Conducts financial and budgetary analysis to define project worth.
  • Develops detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation.
  • Selects project team members and assigns tasks and responsibilities.
  • Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders, including senior management and other department heads, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Implements and manages project changes to achieve project outputs and evaluates and analyzes project performance to ensure successful completion.
  • Conducts post-project evaluations and documents lessons learned to enhance future project outcomes.
  • Plans, initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs IT gap analyses to help propel the organization to its desired state.

2. Performs other duties as assigned by management/The IT STeering Committee. 10%

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management required. Experience in HRMS/HRIS and ERP system implementations preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or other related software.
  • Proficient in Asana, Smartsheet, or other related project management software.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment with occasional travel required.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at times.
