We're seeking a detail-driven, people-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support the daily functions of our HR department in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, enjoys helping others, and is comfortable balancing administrative tasks with hands-on support.
This position plays a critical role in our employee experience from pre-hire through ongoing support. You'll ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion of HR processes while serving as a key point of contact for employee inquiries. By supporting both employees and HR leadership, the Human Resources Assistant contributes to creating an efficient, employee-focused, and compliant HR environment that aligns with organizational goals.
Requirements
What you'll be doing:
- Employee Support & Engagement: Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers across various departments with a customer-service mindset
- Onboarding Excellence: Prepare comprehensive onboarding materials and facilitate new hire orientation sessions to ensure smooth transitions
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, personnel documentation, and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Process Administration: Support the administration of HR policies and procedures with attention to detail and confidentiality
- Quality Assurance: Complete periodic audits on internal records (e.g. I-9 Forms, employee files, etc.) to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Problem Resolution: Help resolve employee inquiries promptly and professionally
- Data Management: Assist with HRIS system maintenance and reporting (Paylocity experience preferred)

Skills and Experience required:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Some college coursework in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 0-1 years of experience in human resources, administrative support, or customer service
- Essential soft skills: Strong customer service orientation, excellent communication (written and verbal), attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Technical proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), basic HRIS familiarity preferred (Paylocity experience a plus)
- Professional qualities: Adaptable to changing priorities with a positive attitude, ability to work independently and collaboratively, commitment to confidentiality and discretion
- Bonus qualifications: Interest in HR career development, experience in fast-paced environments
