As a Credit Department intern, you’ll embark on an immersive journey into the world of banking. You’ll gain invaluable hands-on experience with lower-complexity branch credit reviews, working on self-directed assignments, and contributing to projects that make a real impact on the team. This is your opportunity to kickstart your banking career in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Compensation: The salary for this role is $18.00/per hour
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Office Hours: Hours may vary between Monday-Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Minimum Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must be available to work 20–25-hour work weeks between January 2026 – May 2026 and work on-site on Oahu
- Currently enrolled in a four-year or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university. Preference given those who are current Senior standing.
- Pursuing a relevant business degree program such as Accounting or Finance
- Demonstrate and exhibit First Hawaiian Bank’s core values: Caring, Character and Collaboration
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong interest in exploring a career in Banking
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
- Demonstrated leadership in a school or community organization
- A willingness to cooperate collaboratively and work independently on your own initiative
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates personal accountability and proven reliability
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication
- High standard of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
