Position Summary
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator supports RIX Industries’ business goals through content creation, branding, and internal communications. This role partners with the Executive Team to engage employees, highlight achievements, and strengthen company culture. Key skills include writing, project coordination, and creativity, with responsibilities spanning digital content, social media, website updates, and campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage content calendars and publication schedules
- Plan and produce content for internal communications including newsletters, intranet posts, Powerpoint presentations, digital displays, and printed materials
- Update and manage marketing assets and digital content libraries
- Collaborate on campaigns that integrate internal culture-building with external branding
- Create, edit, and maintain graphic assets using Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), PowerPoint, and Canva
- Support various event-related marketing and internal communications initiatives
- Work closely with the Executive team in crafting internal communications on a consistent basis that reinforce culture, mission, and priorities
- Implement comprehensive internal communications strategies using SharePoint, Teams, company display systems, and social media.
- Write and distribute employee communications that reinforce culture, mission, and priorities
- Manage intranet content and propose new features to improve usability and engagement
- Track and analyze internal communications effectiveness and employee engagement metrics
- Coordinate content marketing campaigns and manage project timelines
- Assist in advertising, awards submissions, and PR initiatives
- Regularly update stakeholders on campaign progress and content strategies.
- Support improvements in marketing systems, automation, and templates
- All other duties assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in marketing or communications.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
- Ability to proactively communicate and possesses excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor tone and voice for different audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engagement data and propose actionable improvements.
- Strong visual design capabilities with attention to detail for layout and brand consistency.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and execute across competing demands and shifting priorities.
- Ability to maintain discretion and use sound judgement when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and communication tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Zoom).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a B2B or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with content management systems, website editing, and email marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with CRM and email campaign management.
Physical Requirements
- Must have the following physical abilities:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers.
