Job Description Summary

Centralized Asset Support Team (CAST) is responsible for providing Content and Creative Design resources and Project Management support to Novartis Brands to develop / update commercial marketing assets such as digital, print, and web assets. A Graphic Designer, Creative (GD-C) with CAST is primarily engaged in designing, producing and updating medico-marketing materials (assets), such as posters, slide presentations, lexicons, infographics, brochures, videos, medical illustrations/animations, animated GIFs, website designs, scientific tables, graphs, and figures with speed and accuracy, consistent with Novartis or Brand Design Guidelines.
The candidate in this role will be expected to work with colleagues located in Hyderabad, Mexico, Ireland and the US, and work as per the shift-time aligned to US teams’ working hours. The GD-C is a part of 'Creative' team under CAST and must demonstrate strong collaboration with colleagues across all Novartis sites, work in a high-volume work environment, maintain the highest quality standards, and live Novartis values and behaviors every day.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce medical contents generated by Content Team into aesthetically pleasing creative communication (Asset) as per the Brand / Design Guidelines. If an asset already exists, then GD-C will make updates to those as required periodically.
  • Design, produce or update posters, brochures, infographics, animated explainer videos, GIFs, PowerPoint presentations and motion graphics to convey medical concepts / messages through effective visual storytelling.
  • Develop or update visual elements such as posters, standees, brochures, banners, etc. using the content provided by the Content Team in compliance with the Congress specific guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Content Team to incorporate review comments / mark-ups on Assets and help prepare the assets for Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review by providing annotations.
  • Track the assigned tasks / jobs proactively and deliver them within the defined / agreed timelines while maintaining the set quality standards.
  • Keep updated on the evolving Brand / Design Guidelines, and deliver tasks as per those standards
  • Maintaining task status updates and fill personal time-sheets on the Project Management tool for capturing effort hours spent on projects diligently.
  • Highlight any risks / concerns that may impact creative production and work with Project Managers to address them.
  • Operate with a continuous improvement mindset – look for process improvement opportunities / idea and drive their implementation.
  • Be open to learning new software and technology (e.g., AI technologies) – invest in personal skill development and expanding knowledge.
  • When required, provide training, mentorship and guidance to peers and thus contribute to team-wide skill development.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by and agreed with the supervisor.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. B.F.A. / M.F.A (Bachelor/ Master of Fine Arts or Applied arts) with 6 yrs. experience in graphic design and related fields is desirable.
  • 4+ years’ experience in graphic designing. Should have worked as a Designer in a Pharma company or an advertising agency.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), tools for interactive and digital design (Adobe XD, Figma, etc.), and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word) for effective visual and content integration
  • Experience with an Operations Center with a Pharmaceutical organization or a consulting organization with client/s in Pharma domain is desirable
