Description:

Operational planning, program management and technical consulting expertise to support 9AF (AFCENT)/Force Protection (FP) activities that are designed to enhance and improve actual mission performance within the dynamic
environment of United States Air Forces Central (USAFCENT) assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR). Services provided will improve effectiveness in the planning, training, exercising, executing and assessment of 9AF (AFCENT)’s mission responsibilities and maintenance of supporting infrastructures within a constantly changing political and military environment.

Responsibilities:
  •  Perform client systems administrator duties to include the installation, configuration, operation, management of systems and networks.
  •  Provide expertise and maintain 9 AF (AFCENT)/FP classified and unclassified SharePoint web pages. Develop and update SharePoint sites, create and manage the hierarchy of sites and subsites.
  • Manage security permissions to ensure sites are functioning properly and are available to users.
  • Control access to document libraries and setting permissions; providing SharePoint user support and training; performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Manage Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP & VoSIP) Phone systems.
  • Perform installation and configuration of new devices; troubleshoot existing issues; repair or replace faulty devices. Setup and maintain multiple, on-demand meet-me-numbers for the organization utilizing the Meet-Me audio conferencing mechanism.
  • Mobile device and remote access support. Provide technical and operational support for government issued mobile devices and technologies such as laptops, cell phones, tablets, security tokens, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, hotspot, VPN and Citrix.
  •  Provide technical support for classified and unclassified Video Teleconferencing System (VTC), multimedia and audiovisual (AV) equipment.
  • Administration and scheduling of teleconferences to ensure VTC and AV equipment is operational for scheduled meetings; provide setup.
  • Information Technology Equipment Custodian (ITEC). Perform equipment accountability (inventory/positive control), warranty requirements, enhancements or replacements to extend the life or improve reliability of the equipment in support of critical equipment or equipment no longer supportable by repair or replacement.
  • Assist with other applicable tasks supporting 9 AF (AFCENT) Information Technology Assist Management program.
  •  Advise AFCENT Director on all matters of Computer Security (COMSEC). Aid the Security Assistant with classified equipment, materials, and information in accordance with DoD COMSEC policies; securely stores classified material; maintains COMSEC access list; limits access to classified material to authorized personnel; maintains accountability of all COMSEC material.
Qualifications:
  • Four (4) years’ experience with Computer Systems Administration.
  •  Possess and maintain a DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification.
  •  U.S. Secret security clearance.
