Description

As a Night Mental Health Worker, you'll provide overnight supervision, ensuring the safety and well-being of youth in our residential treatment program. You'll serve as a positive role model, support youth during vulnerable hours, and contribute to a compassionate and structured environment. This role is ideal for someone reliable, empathetic, and dedicated to helping others heal and grow.

Starting Salary Range: $19.21 - $21.62 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document youth safety with scheduled bed checks (every 15–30 minutes)

  • Maintain a clean and orderly lodge office

  • Assist with laundry and linens following cleaning protocols

  • Communicate effectively with day staff for continuity of care

  • Support youth through positive interaction, presence, and consistency

  • Complete organizational tasks such as documentation, chart audits, and material filing

  • Uphold the mission, values, and safety standards of YBGR

  • Participate in monthly coaching/supervision meetings

  • Respond appropriately in crisis or high-stress situations

  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Program Manager.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications:

  • At least 21 years of age

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to pass a criminal background and child abuse registry check (Montana)

Certifications:

  • Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention certification


Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Primarily indoor environment, with occasional outdoor duties

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods

  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment

  • Must be physically able to assist in crisis interventions involving youth (up to 300 lbs)

  • High-stress tolerance and ability to de-escalate difficult situations

  • Must perceive and respond to verbal and non-verbal cues effectively
