About the Role

As our Smart City and Innovation Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology into the City’s infrastructure, precincts and public spaces. You’ll harness data to drive evidence-based decision-making and deliver imaginative, digitally inspired experiences for our community. Your role will focus on using data and technology to streamline business processes, improve operational efficiency, and create innovative solutions that benefit both the City and our community.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and empower a high-performing team of professionals with a shared vision for innovation.
  • Drive the implementation of actions within Council’s Smart City and Innovation Strategy 2024-2033, and other associated plans and policies.
  • Embed smart technologies and data-driven approaches across infrastructure and service delivery.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with industry, government and research sectors.

 

About You

You’re a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, confident navigating complexity and fostering collaboration across teams and sectors.

Applicants will bring:

  • A passion for smart city, digital built environments, and/or digital literacy.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-impact strategic outcomes.
  • A strong track record in designing and implementing integrated strategies using contemporary methodologies.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain trusted relationships across stakeholders including Council, community, government, and industry partners.

 

Qualifications

Degree qualifications relevant to strategy, policy, or smart infrastructure.

 

What’s on offer
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $173,215.21 to $192,032 plus 12% superannuation.
