About This Role
- Develops and executes sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and safety.
- Manages assigned trades in all aspects of negotiations, market analysis, and contract management.
- Owns the vendor relationship from onboarding through offboarding, including reference checks and quality reviews.
- Negotiates favorable contracts to support the organization’s operational and financial goals.
- Develops strong vendor relationships and monitor performance through regular reviews and corrective actions.
- Proactively partners with and builds strong relationships with team members and key stakeholders across the organization at all levels.
- Analyzes market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to inform procurement decisions.
- Identifies opportunities and drives continuous improvement to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
- Reviews bids and makes award recommendations, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and schedule objectives
- Hosts vendor meetings for bulk award trades and facilitates the first round of bulk award contracting
- Prepares and presents action plans to the Purchasing Director on process improvements based on cost trends.
- Partners cross functionally on projects and initiatives as needed or required
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis.

- Ability to oversee and execute the bid process from initiation to contract finalization.

- Strong presentation skills for senior leadership meetings.
- Knowledge of budget adjustments, variance tracking, and cost evaluations.
- Project management overseeing procurement projects through completion.
- Solving complex problems with creative solutions.
- Bachelor’s Degree, and
- 7+ Years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, negotiating, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- This position requires frequent use of a computer, including keyboard functions and visual acuity of 20 inches or fewer daily.
- Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time
- Be able to lift up to 20 pounds on occasion with or without accommodation.
- Must be able to work in office Monday – Friday, within core business hours of 8AM-5PM
- May be required to visit job sites on occasion and/or travel for conferences, etc.
