About the Role: The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue and cost management, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606. This role involves reviewing contracts, maintaining RevPro system, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue analyses while collaborating with forecasting, accounting, and sales teams to maintain accurate revenue projections. The position also includes reviewing item list prices for correct revenue recognition, assisting in SOX documentation for revenue recognition, participating in process improvement initiatives, and working closely with audit teams for quarterly and annual audits.
Responsibilities:
- Engage all revenue & cost related functions, supporting systems and business processes.
- Review contract terms and conditions, ensure revenue and cost is prepared in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ASC 606.
- Prepare various journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue related analysis.
- Work with the forecasting, projecting accounting, and sales team to ensure accurate forecasts of revenue and investigate to resolve any issues.
- Review of item list prices to ensure accurate repricing of revenue. Update and correct list price for items as needed.
- Assist in preparation of SOX documentation related to revenue recognition.
- Participates in various process improvement efforts to drive efficiency.
- Work closely with the audit team regarding all quarterly review and annual audit requirements.
- Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting.
- Fluent in English
- 8+ years of combined experience in public accounting or a corporate revenue accounting role.
- Demonstrated proficiency with ASC 606 revenue recognition under US GAAP for multiple element arrangements.
- Proficient Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Experience with larger ERP systems and related data across a global business.
- Working proficiency of Oracle R12 & RevPro.
- Experience within a Big 4 public accounting firm, preferred
