The CRM Platform Manager leads the implementation, management, and optimization of Cooperative Extension’s Salesforce-based CRM environment and related data systems. Serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external CRM users, this role ensures system integrity, user support, and data-driven functionality across communications, events, e-commerce, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities include platform architecture, data quality assurance, training, documentation, and dashboard/report development. The CRM Platform Manager also supervises the CRM System Support Professional and collaborates with UMaine and University of Maine System teams to support integrations with platforms such as PeopleSoft, 4-H reporting tools, and other statewide systems. This role works closely with Extension Communications and Marketing, Finance/Operations, and program staff to align CRM strategies with Extension’s mission and statewide programs. Typical hiring range for this position is $65,000 to $68,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Strong background in Salesforce administration
  • Experience in actualizing a CRM system
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders to assess their needs and develop solutions related to those needs in the Salesforce environment
  • A strong understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and how they relate to the Salesforce system
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and both oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively train others on topics of varying complexity
  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in deploying Salesforce, or another CRM, in a higher ed environment
  • Experience with development of Apex triggers and workflow automation
  • Experience with project management and/or business analyst methodologies, especially as those relate to a CRM deployment
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Knowledge of University of Maine Cooperative Extension and its educational programs.
