Key Responsibilities
- Identify, catalog, and collate information related to proposed rules and existing rules that may be repealed
- Coordinate and lead volunteers to advance EDGI’s Public Comments Initiative
- Develop and lead workshops about effectively writing and leveraging public records requests and public comments
- Write, process, and liaise with government bodies and communities about public records requests (FOIA and public comments knowledge required)
- Coordinate internal EDGI learning sessions about relevant issues

- Demonstrated environmental policy experience
- Demonstrated community engagement experience
- Experience working with government information
- Ability to work independently and collaborate well with others
- Excellent written and oral communication
About EDGI
- Investigate and analyze the inner workings of federal environmental policy through agency staff interviews, as well as data and documentary collection and analysis;
- Monitor and analyze changes to web-based information about the climate and environment provided by the federal government;
- Develop new ways of making federal environmental data more accessible to the public;
- Imagine, conceptualize, and move toward environmental data justice;
- Advocate for improved federal data and information governance policies and practices;
- Prototype new organizational structures and practices for distributed, collective, effective work rooted in justice.
