Position Summary:

This position exists for the effective overall operation of the Facilities Department with a primary focus on Hotel Operations. Position purpose is to respond to job assignments in the repairing, installation, and preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment and related components as directed. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

In this Role:

  • Become thoroughly familiar with and have the ability to repair or coordinate repairs for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance software systems throughout the property.
  • Be familiar with and abide by all OSHA safety codes regarding facility maintenance.
  • Monitor inventory par levels and procure necessary items through our purchasing processes.
  • Participate in hotel operational meetings and assist in developing solutions to operational issues.
  • Responsible for always practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort’s “Unsurpassed Service Standards.”
  • Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Interact with Guests in a friendly and courteous manner and manage all Guest opportunities.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally with Guests, Team Members, and Management. 
  • Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards. 
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be 21+ years of age. 
  • Must possess a High School diploma or GED.
  • Work experience in the gaming or hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of hotel maintenance as well as standard hotel maintenance software systems.
  • Basic knowledge of guest door access systems.
  • Basic knowledge of guest room safe systems.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Basic knowledge of pool and spa mechanical systems and familiarity with standard code compliance for pool and spa systems.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license with the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment. 
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift.
  • Must have the ability to access all properties and areas. This includes all types of ladders, lifts, and various stairs to attics and rooftops.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
  • Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel.


Work Conditions:

Work is typically in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas such as attics and high areas such as catwalks and roofs. Tasks may be performed from a non-sitting position. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, bend kneel, crawl, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
