What You Can Expect
The primary responsibility is to repair and troubleshoot surgical electro-mechanical products and equipment. Lead the setup and expansion of service and repair capabilities in step with future product introductions and will, at times, be required to communicate directly with Zimmer Biomet Orthopedic Surgical Products customers.
This position is on-site in Mississauga Monday - Friday, 8-5pm.
How You'll Create Impact
- Performs routine, non-routine and often highly specialized tests, calibrations and repairs on all Zimmer Biomet Orthopaedic Surgical Products. May be required to design, assemble or build specialized test equipment, fixtures, or jigs.
- Occasionally required to compile, compute, analyze, format and report a variety of technical data.
- Understand responsibility to the medical profession and follow GMP’s and EPA laws and regulations.
- Calibrate and repair of products.
- Phone contact with customers, providing technical and clinical support.
- Update and format technical data.
- Build fixtures and jigs.
- Set up and repair ATS, Electric Dermatome motor and power supply.
- Set up, organize and maintain repair parts inventories.
- Assist in training new personnel.
- Provide Technical support with customer repair personnel on the phone.
- Departmental testing and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain accurate device history file in the Repair System.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Self-starter with the ability to independently identify problems, initiate collaboration for solutions and problem resolution
- Must be detail oriented, able to read, understand and follow detailed procedures.
- Must have proven ability to meet workmanship standards relative to soldering techniques, use of hand tools and test equipment.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret test data and recognize discrepancies.
- Ability to document test results.
- Must have component level troubleshooting skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills
Your Background
- High School Diploma required
- Two years of relevant experience
- Preferred:
- One year experience troubleshooting using basic electronic test equipment, multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies
- Engineering Technician certifications

Up to 10%
Expected Compensation Range
$29.41 - $36.76/hour CAD
