About the role
The Manager, Risk & Compliance plays a key leadership role within Perpetual’s Enterprise Risk, Compliance and Sustainability (ERCS) team, supporting the strategic goals of the Chief Risk Office. Working closely with the Head of ERCS, the role partners with the business across Perpetual’s Three Lines of Accountability model to strengthen risk culture and ensure key risks and obligations are effectively managed in line with Perpetual’s Risk Management Framework.

As Manager, Risk & Compliance, you'll work closely with senior leaders, influence enterprise-wide risk practices, and contribute to optimising Perpetual’s Risk Management Framework for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Help shape and deliver the strategic direction of the Chief Risk Office and ERCS team
Partner with business units to embed key elements of Perpetual’s Risk Management Framework, including risk appetite, controls, regulatory change, and training
Provide proactive risk and compliance advice to enterprise functions like Finance and HR, and contribute to key projects and initiatives
Leverage data analytics tools to deliver meaningful insights and visualisations that support informed decision-making
Collaborate closely with CRO team members and business risk teams to achieve shared goals
Champion a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across the broader risk and compliance community
What We’re Looking For:
Degree qualified in business, finance, law, information systems, or accounting, with a passion for ongoing development
5+ years’ experience in risk and compliance roles within financial services, ideally in a CRO function or Big 4 consulting
Strong understanding of enterprise risk, regulatory frameworks (ASIC, AFCA, OAIC, Corporations Act), and/or risk and compliance advisory
Experience in board reporting, policy writing, and risk-related training materials
Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Apps) is a plus
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence presenting to senior leaders
Proven ability to drive outcomes, connect information across sources, and embed risk frameworks across teams
Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with strong organisational and analytical capabilities
