We are looking for an Intern Process Simulation CCUS to join our CT_Technology & Innovation team in Switzerland.
Contribute to the development of Sulzer’s emerging Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technologies and have a global impact by joining our CCUS R&D team to help us take our CCUS applications to the next level.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Literature review, data analysis, collection and validation
- Process simulation & process engineering calculations
- Flowsheeting: equipment-specific or process wide steady state
- Validation of thermodynamic packages & chemical kinetics
- Sensitivity analysis / optimization studies
- Support with techno-economics, simplified cost estimates, high level assessments
- Knowledge building & documentation
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Completed or currently pursuing a Master's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering with strong command of thermodynamics, reaction engineering, and simulation fundamentals
- Proficient in data analysis and result presentation with skills in MS Office 365 applications
- Programming skills advantageous
- Experience with AspenPlus is a must
- Experience with Custom Modeler and/or embedding custom sub-routines is desirable
- Comfortable working independently and as a team player
- Enthusiasm for learning and proactive in problem solving
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
This internship is suited for final year students eager to combine their studies with an industry placement, or, for recent Master or PhD students wishing to explore industry. The ideal start date is November with some flexibility.
